Heather Walker
Office Manager
Heather was raised on a farm in Hoyelton, IL, where her family raised hogs and chickens. She attended Greenville College for two years, then moved back home to help with the farm. In 1992, she married Ed Walker and moved to Collinsville, IL. They have one son together, Christopher, and he is the light of Heather's life. Heather and her family are very involved in their Church. They love to work on classic cars and go to car shows. Heather also enjoys reading. She has two dogs: Billy Blazes, a 6 year old Golden Retriever; and Leia, a 2 year old mixed breed dog that they rescued from a shelter. They also have two cats, Oliver and Melina, whom they also rescued.
Heather started working with Dr. VanAnrooy in Collinsville in 1994 as a surgery technician. When Edwardsville Pet Hospital was purchased in 2000, Heather initially worked here as a technician. Five years ago, Heather became the clinic office manager. Today, she performs office work, and fills in as needed as a technician and front desk receptionist.

Amanda Mason

Amanda has worked at Edwardsville Pet Hospital since 2004. She was born in Oxford, Mississippi, and lived in Portland, Oregon, before moving to Illinois in 2004. She attended the University of Mississippi, as well as the Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, for her undergraduate education. Amanda has two cats, Esther and Grisham, whom she rescued and bottle fed to health. Her favorite dog breed is the Boxer. |

Crystal Rugg
Receptionist, Veterinary Technician
Crystal was born in Amarillo, TX, raised in Independence, MO, and moved to Marine, IL in 2000. She started working with animals at the Metro East Humane Society for three years. She then began working for a dog show handler for almost six years, working with champion Boxers and Doberman Pinschers. She fell in love with both breeds. Crystal graduated from Sanford Brown College with an Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology in 2007.
Crystal has been at Edwardsville Pet Hospital since November 2008. She has 2 dogs: Dylan, a 3 year old purebred Boxer; and Ariel, a 5 year old champion bloodline Red Doberman Pinscher. She also has 4 cats: Midnight, Butterfly, Wild Lee, and Aslan. She is not married, and has no children...except the furry ones! She lives with her father. Her beloved mother recently passed away on August 4, 2011.
Crystal likes to spend her free time doing Church activities, shopping, chillin' with friends, and days at the spa. She also loves her pet-sitting jobs on the side, taking care of clients' animals while they are out of town. Please call (618) 567-2015 to set up an interview for petsitting! |

Lindsey received her licensed veterinary technician degree in 2009. She has been married for two years, and they are expecting their first child in December. Lindsey has two Pit Bull Terriers and one Beagle; she and her husband are very excited to bring a new baby home!

Amanda was born and raised in Godfrey, Illinois, where she still lives today. She attended the Veterinary Technician Institute at Hickey College. Amanda has one dog (Snickers), a ferret (Nala), one bird (Louie), and two mice (Penny and Jane). She enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and pets.

Lauren Kaimann-Bushrow

Lauren has a 4-month-old daughter, Elana Marie, whom she adores! Her husband is currently serving in the Army as a Combat Engineer. She has a 9 year old Bloodhound named Cooter, and a Beagle Mix named Bo. Lauren also has two horses -- Flicka, a 5 year old Quarter Horse; and Chyenne, a 4 year old Quarter Horse/Thoroughbred cross. She enjoys riding Flicka whenever her busy schedule as a new mother allows!
